Netflix October 2014 Movies List: Netflix Removes More Than 50 Movies
Netflix has removed over 50 movies from its database since October 1. Many fans and streaming service users were disappointed because some of the no longer available movies were classic fan favorites.
The hit sci-fi movie 'The Hunger Games', which will be releasing its third movie of the franchise soon, has been removed from the streaming service.
In addition to this, the highly popular teenage movie 'Mean Girls' has also been dropped. Fans of the movie written by Tina Fey, were not happy to hear that it would be taken down on Oct. 1 and hoped it would stay at least until Oct. 3, since the day is considered a holiday in the 'Mean Girls' fandom.
Additionally, Netflix has gotten rid of comedy movies from earlier decades. Some of the '80s and '90s movies that have been removed are 'Ghostbusters', its sequel, and 'A League of Their Own.'
Movie fans should not be too disappointed, however, since the movies will be replaced with new ones sometime in October.
