Only a month remains before 'NCIS' premieres with its new Season 12 on September 23 via CBS Network. According to reports, 'NCIS' began shooting in July and there have been several spoilers that the cast and crew have already revealed to the public.

Most recently, actor Michael Weatherly who plays Tony DiNozzo was seen comically dropping a baby doll. The image was posted by his co-star and newcomer Emily Wickersham on Twitter, with the caption "Not the babyyy!"

The photo may only mean that Weatherly could be in some kind of inside joke referring to a plot point in the show. According to reports, the baby prop is more likely to appear in one of the scenes in the upcoming installment.

Another interesting new element to look forward to in the show is the new love interest for DiNozzo, according to Executive producer Gary Glasberg.

"It's time for Tony to continue to grow a little bit. He went through a lot last year emotionally and tried to deal with Ziva's departure as he could. And it's time for someone new. We'll be mature about it and handle it properly, and Michael's (Weatherly) excited about it," Glasberg announced to press.

The new season will be big according to the production. Especially when recently, 'NCIS', was awarded the International Television Audience Award for a Drama TV Series, at the 54th Monte-Carlo Television Festival in Monaco last June.

Glasberg announced to the press, "As NCIS enters its 12th season, we couldn't be happier to learn we're now the #1 drama in the world. It's no secret that determination and teamwork have allowed our cast and crew to continue to deliver a show we're truly proud of."

As it stands, fans can expect the upcoming new episodes to be bigger and more in-depth than what they're used to, Glasberg continued to say, "We've got a really significant season opener that brings Gibbs and McGee to Russia for a really big story."
