NCIS: New Orleans Cast Rumors & Latest Spoilers: Familiar Faces from LA

Fans of 'NCIS' will be excited to learn that a new spin-off has been written, filmed, and is ready to kick-off with its first episode on September 23. 'NCIS: New Orleans' is the second spin-off to the popular naval crime drama 'NCIS' which is currently in its 12th season.

Reports are saying that a crossover by some of the 'NCIS' actors will be necessary to spark viewership for the upcoming 'NCIS: New Orleans' series.

Rumor has it that Joe Spano will appear on the show as FBI Agent Fornell, along with Michael Weatherly, who's best known for his role as Tony DiNozzo. Weatherly has already went ahead and hinted about his participation in the series by posting exclusive behind the scenes photos of the show.

Besides them, rumors say Pauley Parette and David McCallum will also take part in the upcoming crime investigation series. However, it's important to note that even though these actors are rumored to be joining the cast in one way or another, it is not yet known what roles they will assume in 'NCIS: New Orleans'.

The Examiner goes on to say that a lot of familiar faces will appear in the very first episode of the show.

One of the confirmed roles for the new program is actor Scott Bakula who will play Dwayne Cassius Pride: NCIS Special Agent In Charge. Michael Weatherly went ahead and took a picture with him and posted it to Twitter. They appeared to be on the set of the show.

What's interesting is that the new show will start right after the premiere of 'NCIS' Season 12.
