Fans of 'NCIS: Los Angles' are aware that a new season of this military and police procedural combination television drama series on CBS always begins with a bang, and the upcoming Season 7 will not be an exception, as viewers will see Callen embarking on a dangerous mission on his own.

Christian Today reports that TVLine has just come out with a synopsis of 'NCIS: Los Angeles' Season 7 premiere that states Callen (Chris O'Donnell) will go on a secret project, leaving Sam (LL Cool J) and the entire team uninformed. However, Hetty's (Linda Hunt) insistence to shut down his operation leads the team to find Callen before he lands in serious trouble.

Currently, not much information about Callen's secret project is available and, hence, it is not clear if this is related to any previous case or if it is something very personal.

The show creators have also not said anything regarding Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) and Kensi (Daniela Ruah). Hence, fans of the show are eager to see how their new relationship will affect the dynamics of the team. Nevertheless, Entertainment Weekly reports that new challenges await the team as Deeks will be visited by his mother, giving Kensi an opportunity to meet her.

'Parks and Recreation' alum Pamela Reed will be portraying the character of Mrs. Deeks.

Meanwhile, 'NCIS: Los Angeles' executive producer Shane Brennan told the media outlet that meeting her boyfriend's mother will be a "big moment" for Kensi. The show runner further added that it will also be a bigger moment for Deeks, in addition to being "another memorable 'NCIS: LA' moment for the show's fans as we lift the veil on one of our much-loved characters."

With the arrival of Mrs. Deeks, fans will certainly get to know more regarding Marty's backstory and this will also be a big moment for Deeks and Kensi, considering the fact that revealing this part of his past to her will possibly be among the major points of the upcoming season.

'NCIS: Los Angeles' Season 7 will premiere on CBS at 10:00 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 21.
