'NCIS: Los Angeles' Season 6 Spoilers, Release Date: Hetty Faces Senate Interrogation, Callen Scores a Potential Girlfriend? [VIDEO]
'NCIS: Los Angeles' returns to CBS on Monday, September 29 with one or two members of the team in real danger. At the end of Season 5, G and Sam Hanna were locked in a submarine threatened by explosives while Operations Manager Hetty was being questioned in Washington for her jurisdiction issue during the White Ghost operations.
In the CBS promotional video for 'NCIS LA', Hetty played by Linda Hunt is summoned by Director Vance to question a leak from the team's previous mission in Afghanistan. This corroborates with Owen Granger's claim that Hetty has indeed lots of enemies in the circle. Now, the band of naval criminal investigators is at war with Granger in pursuit of defending Hetty.
Meanwhile, Chris O'Donnell's Callen might strike up a potential relationship with a new character, whose identity is not yet revealed. Showrunner Shane Brennan told TV Guide that such an event is not just an ordinary romance, and that Callen's potential girlfriend is also a well-known character that the viewers have already come to love.
When it comes to a relationship, Kensi and Deek face up and downs as they try to find a balance between their personal lives and careers.
"It isn't as black-and- white as people think, and we try to keep it as a real workplace romance, especially one with guns and explosions and people trying to kill you. We don't want the audience thinking that now we've turned it off and we might turn it on again later. We're trying to integrate the ups and downs of their relationship throughout the season," Brennan said.
'NCIS: Los Angeles' Episode 1 titled "Deep Trouble Part 2" airs on Monday at 10 pm.
