The NCIS: Los Angeles Season 6 release date is hot on the minds of fans of the show, following hard on the heels from the Season 5 finale episode that was scheduled to air on Tuesday night. The finale titled "Deep Trouble Part 2" is set to be packed full of drama and immediately draws fans' minds to what will happen next and how long will they have to wait for the Season 6 premiere.

It is believed that the NCIS: Los Angeles Season 6 premiere date will air sometime in September, with some reports touting September 23 as the release date. That means fans will have to wait until towards the end of the summer and into the fall to find out what happens next.

"When the NCIS: LA team and the DEA uncover the cartel's plans to slyly transport billions of dollars' worth of cocaine from Colombia to the United States using a submarine, Callen and Sam must quickly locate the missing vessel. Meanwhile, Hetty is called to Washington in the aftermath of the controversial mission in Afghanistan," according to the official summary of Season 5 Finale "Deep Trouble" episode.

According to a recent Instagram photo, it appears that Marty Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) and Kensi Blye's (Daniela Ruah) will survive Season 5 finale since the duo are seen flying a helicopter in the first episode of the upcoming season.

In addition, series regular LL Cool was seen in a Instagram photo relaxing in a Jacuzzi in preparation to shooting a scene as Sam Hanna in the upcoming episode "Deep Trouble Part 2."

Furthermore, Hanna's longtime partner G. Callen (played by Chris O'Donnell) also survives the Part 1 episode as the actor was seen in a photo reading his lines in preparation for the Second Half of the two-part episode that will air in a few months.

It was recently announced that CBS' critically acclaimed detective drama will return for another season after the network renewed 19 shows for the 2014-15 upcoming TV season including its predecessor "NCIS" for its 12^th season.

"NCIS: Los Angeles" Season 6 Premiere is expected to air this fall (presumably on September 23) at 9/8c on the CBS network.
