NBA star Ty Lawson of the Denver Nuggets was arrested this past Saturday for domestic violence stemming from a fight he had with his pregnant girlfriend, Ashley King. Some may recognize Ashley from hit reality series the "Bad Girls Club" season 6.

Reports claim that the police were called to Lawson's house in Denver around 9 am Saturday morning. Police had received calls about a domestic dispute involving both Lawson and girlfriend King. To make matters worse King is also 6 months pregnant. When police arrived on the scene King was overly dramatic and said the argument started after she overheard Lawson on the phone with another woman the night before.

She attempted to pack her belongings and leave because she was fed up, but in the midst of it all Lawson restrained her and shoved her onto the bed. King then threw Lawson's phone breaking it and Lawson retaliated by throwing her phone in water.

The unborn child was not harmed during the incident, but Lawson was still arrested for suspicion of domestic violence, criminal mischief, and harassment. Ms. King didn't get off that easy she too was arrested for criminal mischief and domestic violence.

Both parties have since then been released on a one-thousand dollar bond after spending three days in jail. It's now being said that the couple is back at home and working on moving forward with their relationship. Lawson and King are due in court Friday, August 23, 2012 for the first hearing.
