The 2014 Slam Dunk Contest brings a whole new list of changes to tomorrow night's main event at the NBA All-Star break, including a new team format, fans vote online for a "Dunker of the Night". With the challenge split into rounds consisting of the most team dunks in 90 seconds, plus a head-to-head elimination round, there are sure to be some brand new surprises.

This Saturday the six contestants will first battle as teams of three, and then as individuals. The Eastern and Western Conference athletes will battle against each other.

Paul George (Pacers), John Wall (Wizards) and Terrence Ross (Raptors) will join forces on behalf of the Eastern Conference.

Damian Lillard (Blazers), Ben McLemore (Kings) and Harrison Barnes (Warriors) will be defending their Western Conference court in New Orleans.

The first stage is called the "Freestyle Round." Both the East and West squads will have only 90 seconds to dunk the ball as many times as they want. All players will be dunking and can also assist each other. Judges will choose the winning conference following both turns.

The second stage is called the "Battle Round," in which an East dunker and a West dunker will battle against each other as the judges decide who is victorious. The first team to win three battles will be crowned "Slam Dunk Contest Champions." In addition, fans will be able to vote for their favorite athlete of the night as the "Dunker of the Night."
