NBA News, Rumors 2014: Alonzo Gee Signed for Denver Nuggets, Steps Over Quincy Miller
The Denver Nuggets have recently shown their interest in Alonzo Gee, a 27-year old American Professional Basketball player who has played for Washington Wizards, Cleveland Cavaliers and San Antonio Spurs, according to Fansided.
The team believes that the ability and skills of this player fit into the team's structured system. They believe that he can contribute to their overall defense and athleticism. Gee has not only drawn the interest of Denver, but also that of the Lakers and Cavaliers.
However, there's a high probability that he will make it onto Denver's final roster since they only have 13 guaranteed contracts thus far. Also, he will be a great addition to the team in terms of handling the wing.
Denverstiffs confirmed that the Denver is actively chasing this free agent. This information is based on what the RealGM had published in an article previously. Though he deals with the difficulty of his release from the Sacramento and that of three off-season trades, he has improved immensely in his game. Evidently, he has improved his jump shot and has grown more focused during his training sessions.
According to RealGM, Gee had established himself to be a contributing role as he averaged in his career, 3.6 rebounds and 7.9 points. This record can be broken down into 2.3 rebounds and 4.0 points average in his last season with the Cavaliers.
Furthermore, Denverstiffs published that Gee could be a threat to younger player Quincy Miller, a 21-year old, who also aims for a roster spot on the Nuggets.
On that note, the latest news from RealGM confirmed that Gee has apparently decided to join Denver and will report to camp when the time comes for him to do so.
