NBA Miami Heat Trade News, Rumors: After LeBron James, Cleveland Cavaliers Target Ray Allen, Toney Douglas to Sign in China

Everything seems to be dismal with the A-rate NBA franchise Miami Heat at the moment. The club suffered the first major blow when superstar LeBron James left the Heat to play for his home state team the Cleveland Cavaliers for the 2014-2015 season, and now, several other top players are contemplating to quit the team as well.

Rumors regarding Ray Allen switching to the Cavaliers began early this Summer. More information about the supposed transfer came to the light when a Yahoo! Sports reporter wrote on his Twitter account, "The Cavs are also optimistic about their chances of signing free agent guard Ray Allen prior to the start of training camp, a source said."

About a week ago, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported that it looks as if the Heat is not going after the sharp shooter after all, considering the fact that the team no longer has sufficient funds to offer a lucrative deal to the player. It can barely offer the minimum, the report said.

Fans will now have to wait until September, when Ray Allen announces his decision, to know whether the report is true or not.

A most recent report in the Sun-Sentinel hinted that Heat point guard Toney Douglas is also contemplating to sign a one-year deal with the Jiangsu Dragons, a Chinese Basketball Association team.

In fact, Heat signed in Shabazz Napier, a point guard with the University of Connecticut, as well as with the re-signing of point guards Norris Cole and Mario Chalmers.

Also, Toney Douglas will be the first overseas free agent who will be signing for Jiangsu Dragon for the 2014-2015 CBA Season. It may be noted that earlier his former teammate and Heat center Chris "The Birdman" Andersen also played for the Chinese ball team way back in 2000.
