NBA Miami Heat News: Final 15-man Roster for 2014-2015 Season, Regular Season Schedule Out
The Miami Heat is going to look like an entirely new team when the 2014-15 NBA season gets started. With the regulars like LeBron James, James Jones, Shane Battier, Rashard Lewis and most likely Ray Allen quitting this off-season, the Heat has signed as many as nine new players for the next season.
On Wednesday, the Miami Heat announced its final 15-man roster for the 2014-15 regular seasons. The final 15-team comprises starter Mario Chalmers, backup Norris Cole, backup No. 2 Shabazz Napier, starter Dwyane Wade, backup Reggie Williams, backup No. 2 Tyler Johnson, starter Luol Deng, backup No. 2 James Ennis, starter Josh McRoberts, backup Udonis Haslem, backup No. 2 Shawne Williams, starter Luol Deng, backup Chris Andersen, starter Chris Bosh, and backup No. 2 Justin Hamilton.
The 82-game schedule, announced by the Miami Heat, comprises 41 home dates, all at American Airlines Arena, and 41 road contests, and runs from October 29, 2014 through April 15, 2015.
All the games will be aired by Sun Sports, the exclusive regional television partner of the Miami Heat, and all 75 games will be available for local broadcast. The Heat will make 20 national television appearances, counting seven exclusive broadcasts on ABC (two) and TNT (five). Moreover, ESPN is scheduled to broadcast nine games of the Miami Heat, while NBA TV has scheduled coverage on four games with Miami, which may go up to five additional appearances as part of the NBA TV Tuesday Fan Night campaign.
Meanwhile, the Miami Heat Radio Network, led by its flagship station 104.3 FM - The Ticket, will carry all of the team's games in English, while Univision Radio's Radio Mambi (710 AM) or Mix 98.3 FM will broadcast all the regular season games in Spanish.
This year, the schedule features 40 of the 82 games to be played on weekends (Friday through Sunday), which marks the most weekend games Miami has played in a season since the 2008-09 campaign. Of the 40 weekend games, 17 will be played in Miami (four on Friday, six on Saturday and seven on Sunday), while the Heat's longest home-stand will be a seven-game stretch from December 17-29.
