All-NBA First Team 2013: Lebron James, Kevin Durant, Kobe Bryant, Chris Paul & Tim Duncan, See Full LIst of All-NBA Teams
Thursday brought the official announcements of the 2013 All-NBA teams.
The NBA is in the Conference Finals of their Playoffs right now with the Eastern Conference being represented by the Miami Heat and Indiana Pacers. The Western Conference Finals are featuring the San Antonio Spurs and Memphis Grizzlies.
The first team was of course headlined by the regular season MVP Lebron James. James was a unanimous selection for the first team, this was his seventh All-NBA First Team appearance.
Also on the first team were guards Kobe Bryant and Chris Paul, other forward Kevin Durant and center, Tim Duncan.
This was Duncan's 10th First Team selection but his first since the 2006-07 season.
The All-NBA Second Team featured New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony, the NBA's leading scorer.
The All-NBA Second Team was guards Tony Parker and Russel Westbrook, forwards Carmelo Anthony and Blake Griffin and center Marc Gasol.
Marc Gasol was named Defensive Player of the Year in the NBA this year.
The All-NBA Third Team was guards Dwyane Wade and James Harden, forwards David Lee and Paul George and center Dwight Howard.
Paul George was named Most Improved Player this year in the NBA.
Marc Gasol was the only player on all three All NBA teams to not make the All-Star Game this year. I would venture to say its pretty safe that he is the first player to win NBA Defensive Player of the Year and be on the All-NBA Second Team and not even be nominated to play in the All Star Game that year.
Do you think they got it right this year?
