NBA 2K15 Release Date: Kevin Durant on Box Art Cover and Pharrell Williams as Music Curator
2K Sports latest sequel to the virtual basketball franchise is set with an October 7 release date. The game will most likely come out for the Xbox 360, Xbox One, Playstation 3, and Playstation 4.
Extra details have not yet been released by 2K Sports, but they have unveiled the look of the box art in which the game will be packaged. On the box art, Oklahoma City Thunders player, Kevin Durant appears on the cover.
"It's something that I've been longing for a while, and I'm just grateful for the opportunity," Durant said about his appearance on the cover.
More recently, it has also been revealed that 2K Sports has been allowing certain music celebrities to curate the music for the game. One of the curators will be Pharrell Williams, most popularly known as the founder of N.E.R.D and the Neptunes.
Furthermore, Williams is famous for his hit singles "Happy," "Blurred Lines" with Robin Thicke, and "Get Lucky" with Daft Punk.
Pharrell was chosen for the achievements he has made in the music industry. He is a well-known music producer and his valuable experience in making music of various genres would make him a great fit when it comes to the soundtrack of the game.
There will be a lot of music included in the game from the Williams' own tracks, to the raps of Jay-Z, and even music from Coldplay and Daft Punk.
Whether the player is browsing the menu, or changing the settings, to playing MyGM mode in the game, they will be offered a great selection of music coming from well-known artists.
