In latest NBA 2K15 news, it has been confirmed that Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant will be on the cover for the upcoming game.

"Yo Pharrell, your time has come! Can't wait to hear what you got for us in NBA 2K15 soundtrack," said Durant in a new video promoting the game.

In addition, the popular gaming company also issued the following statement on Twitter this week:

"Presenting your official #NBA2K15 cover ft. MVP @KDTrey5 & music curated by @Pharrell! pic.twitter.com/80fxvn3QLB," according to the tweet posted by the NBA 2K company on July 15.

The reigning 2014 NBA MVP previously revealed his excitement when it was announced that he will appear on the NBA game cover.

"It's something that I've been longing for a while," said Durant in a conference call in May when it was revealed that he is the new cover athlete in the upcoming game, "I'm just grateful for the opportunity."

The 25-year-old Washington native further expressed his gratitude for the prestigious honor.

"I begged them to put me on the cover," said Durant. "I really think nobody plays the game as much as I do. I wanted to be a part of it."

"Happy" singer Pharrell Williams is now thrilled to be in charge of creating the soundtrack for the NBA 2K15 game.

"I'm tripping out that we get to put this music out," said Williams to Billboard this week, "This never happens -- the system is never like that, where you look up and go 'Wow, we just pulled that off.' I'm pumped and excited."

He also talked about replacing Jay-Z after Beyonce's rapper husband and NBA superstar Lebron James who both selected the music list for last year's game.

"I was like, 'I have to do this, [but] I don't know if I'm gonna be able to pull this off, because Jay did it and LeBron.' I'm like, man, how do I follow up those guys? They know so much more about the sport than I do," said Williams.

The NBA 2K15 game will arrive in stores on October 7 for PC, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4 and Xbox One.
