"Glee' star Naya Rivera shocked everyone with her Cabo San Lucas surprise wedding to Ryan Dorsey on July 19. The actress married Dorsey on the date that was previously set for her cancelled nuptials with ex-fiancé Big Sean.

July 19th also happens to be Dorsey's birthday, making the event an even more joyous occasion for the couple and their guests. A source close to Rivera told Us Weekly, "Naya didn't tell most of her friends that she was marrying Ryan Dorsey, let alone that she was dating him! The whole thing is a complete surprise."

It was also reported that Big Sean was in Mexico on July 19, in Punta Mita, recording Kanye West. Hollywoodlife is reporting that Rivera's hasty wedding is probably an attempt to get back at Big Sean after he called off his engagement to the actress on April 9.

However, Rivera's friends are saying that the actress and Dorsey have been "friends for a long time", and that their friendship "turned into love!"

A small group of close family members were on hand for the intimate ceremony.

In a joint statement to People, the couple said, "We feel truly blessed to be joined as husband and wife. Our special day was fated and everything we could have ever asked for."

The bride reportedly wore a white gown by Monique Lhuillier while the groom wore a Dolce and Gabbana suit for the ceremony.

As of the weekend, Rivera made it official on her Twitter account, changing her name to "Naya Rivera Dorsey".
