On August 21, at the end of a 'MythBusters' episode on Discovery network, hosts Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman revealed some disappointing news. Tory Belleci, Kari Byron and Grant Imahara will not be recast onto the show for the upcoming 2015 season.

An official Twitter post on the @MythBusters account reads, "We want to thank @KariByron @GrantImahara @ToryBelleci for their tireless work, and wish them all the best."

This news has brought about a lot of grief for many of the show's fans. The three myth busting stars were almost as iconic to the show as hosts Savage and Hyneman themselves.

The trio have been with the show for nearly 10 years, and it seems as though the network was happy to let them go, which is more than what can be said for the series' fan base.

However, despite the unpleasant news, the three former cast members went on to thank the show for the good times had.

Kari Byron took to Twitter to say her farewell and thanks, Byron writes, "After a decade of the Mythbusters, we are no longer with the show. Thank you to all the fans who have supported us. The show is taking a new direction. It was an amazing run. I learned so much about myself and the world. I love you all @MythBusters. I am sad for an ending but there will be exciting new adventures for us."

Grant Imahara followed suit and posted, "Thanks @MythBusters for allowing us to teach science in a whole new way. Also, explosions. Now, on to the next adventure!

Last but not least, Tori Belleci writes, "It's been an amazing ride for 10 years! We couldn't have done it without you guys. You're the best fans anyone could wish for. Thank you."

As the three popular experimenters go on in their own separate directions, fans wonder who or if anyone will be replacing their spots on the show.

Currently, there is no word from Discovery about an official cast list, or anything about who will be taking on the challenge to disprove more classic or modern day myths.
