MxPx Releases 'MXPX Acoustic Collection' July 6; Download 'Let It Happen' for Free with Pre-order (TOUR DATES/TRACK LISTING)

Longtime Christian punk band MxPx is releasing an acoustic compilation album that will feature some of the band's songs reworked from their fast paced rock down to a more mellow and intimate feel.

MXPX Acoustic Collection will be out on July 6, and can be pre-ordered on Bandcamp. For anyone that pre-orders, they will receive a download of "Let it Happen."

According to the band's press release, fans have been clamoring for something of this kind for years, and now MxPx is delivering just in time for their 22nd anniversary.

"This was a request record from our fans. We've been asked hundreds of times to release an acoustic album and we finally have complied, just in time for our 22nd anniversary milestone. Most of these I've been performing live acoustically for a while now, but I rearranged some of them specifically for this release, giving the songs a whole new perspective and feel. Although these are studio-quality performances, I really tried to keep the overall sound of the production reined in and focused on the crux of the songs. All the tracks are my favorite ones to do acoustically," said lead singer and bassist Mike Herrara in a press release. Herrerra also produced the entire album as well.

The longtime lead singer will be performing these tracks on a small tour beginning with a Warped Tour date on July 6.

The track listing is as follows:
1. Doing Time (Life in General; 1996)
2. Tomorrow Is Another Day (Slowly Going the Way of the Buffalo; 1998)
