Moto X+1 Release Date, Specs: Device Launching September 2014?

While the highly anticipated Moto X+1 has no official release date as of yet, rumors about the hardware specs of the device has been surfacing on the Internet's tech-type forums.

Motorola has been very careful not to release too much information about the handset, as they'd prefer it to remain a mystery for the time being.

However, according to the rumors posted by various online sources, some people can construct a general idea of what the smartphone will bring to the table.

According to reports, the phone will sport a 5.2 inch full HD AMOLED display, and carry a Snapdragon 800 chipset running at a clock speed of 2.46GHz. The handset is expected to run on the new Android L platform, also known as Android 5.0. Besides that, the device has been referred to as X2, instead of X+1.

Additional rumors concerning the forthcoming Motorola device, consider the storage and camera. The smartphone is said to come in a 32GB model, but will have a slot for an SD card, in case the user wanted to expand their device's capabilities. Moto X+1 will be equipped with a 12MP rear camera, and a 5MP one on the front.

The entire device will contain 2GB worth of RAM which is more than enough to support various programs, all at the same time.

Despite all this information coming in as rumor, some of the most interesting speculation involves an expected release date. Sources claim that the device will launch this year, late September.
