Moto 360 Rumors, Price and Features: Better Than LG G Watch, Samsung Galaxy Gear 2?

The Moto 360 is the much anticipated smartwatch that every tech enthusiast would want to strap on to their wrist. What sets it apart from other such gadgets is its elegant circular shape, as compared with the square shaped display of the LG G Watch and Samsung Gear Live. This Google watch also veers away from the boxy shape of the Samsung Gear 2 and Pebble Steel.

The two downsides to the Moto 360 is that it's not available on the market yet, and that no one knows how much it will retail. The LG G Watch is reasonably priced at $299, and the Samsung Gear Live even more so at $199. Lately, the buzz is that the Moto 360 could come with a premium price tag.

The rumors could be true as the Motorola Moto 360 was listed on a retailers' website in China, and the device was priced at 2,800 Yuan, which converts to $450 at the current exchange rate. This is considerably higher than the LG G and the Samsung Gear Live, which both retail at 1,500 Yuan.

There have been no confirmations or statements to reveal the gadget's features, however, the computerized Moto 360 watch screen is rumored to be a custom made OLED display.

OLEDs consume as much as 40 percent less power when displaying black images versus LCD's because they can turn off individual pixels, which will make the Moto 360 more environmentally friendly, if the rumor holds true.

This could be the reason why all Moto 360 renders have a black analog watch face, and the timepiece could easily switch up to a black analog dial "screensaver".

Though the Moto 360 made a cameo at the recent Google iO, there has been no announcement regarding the gadget's release date.
