Mortal Kombat 10 (X) Trailer Released, Game Set for 2015 Release
Warner Bros. has recently released the first official teaser of "Mortal Combat 10 (X)" along with a trailer. The game, currently being developed by NetherRealm Studios, is scheduled for release in 2015 on an array of consoles, including PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
Considering the fact that Mortal Kombat 10 (X) will actually be a cross-generational game, it is likely that the trailer released by Warner Bros. is not a part of the game play footage. In fact, neither Warner Bros. nor NetherRealm Studios has elaborated on what the trailer precisely brags.
Mortal Kombat originating in 1992 has transformed in many ways over the last two decades. The game has an extensive list of publishers who've attempted to tackle recreations, Midway, THQ, Acclaim, to name a few. It has jumped through platforms like the Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo, all the way to the PS4 and XBox One, for this reason the game has needed a plethora of renditions and versions accustomed to each console and era. Constantly shifting and changing, the Mortal Kombat franchise has undoubtedly grown and adapted to contemporary video game standards.
NetherRealm Studios posted a press release stating that the game, "launches players into a persistent online contest where every fight matters in a global battle for supremacy. For the first time, Mortal Kombat X gives players the ability to choose from multiple variations of each character impacting both strategy and fighting style. Players step into an original story showcasing some of the game's most prolific characters including Scorpion and Sub-Zero, while introducing new challengers that represent the forces of good and evil and tie the tale together."
Nevertheless, the trailer is makes sure to incorporate many popular developments that have become essential over the years. Some of the key features that are displayed include the return of special weapons, in addition to environmental interface that enables the players to rip branches from trees and hit the opponents with them.
The video also boasts about the X-Ray attacks that were originally launched in the 2011 franchise reboot, which ferociously represent body parts getting broken and bruised.
The official blurb accompanying the trailer reads,"Fueled by next-gen technology, Mortal Kombat X combines unparalleled, cinematic presentation with dynamic gameplay to create an unprecedented Kombat experience."
It may be noted here that the previous game in the franchise, which was simply titled "Mortal Kombat," sold 3 million copies after its release in 2011.
