‘Modern Family’ Season 6 Spoilers: ‘The Long Honeymoon’ Highly Ratied Premiere Episode [PROMO VIDEO]

ABC's top comedy series on television, 'Modern Family', came back for its sixth season last Wednesday with less romance and more punchlines. In the premiere episode, "The Long Honeymoon," a new character tries to get in the way of Mitchell Pritchett and Cameron Tucker.

'Modern Family' has received favorable reviews as it tends to balance different intertwining plots. Some of the most memorable lines in the first episode of Season 6 include:

"I sure do miss when this house wasn't full of bees." - Lily

"Manny, why you freeze the Colombians?" - Gloria

"Are we almost done with fairy time? I just want to get out of this costume." - Lily

"You can't leave us. We're a danger to ourselves. We're a family of fire starters, poison eaters, and online prostitutes." - Phil

"All these years, you're telling me you can get ready that fast?" - Jay

In Episode 2 which will air on October 1, Jay and Gloria will be uncertain about what gift to give each other for their anniversary. The Dunphys, on the other hand, head to Caltech for Alex's college tour while Claire convinces her to choose a school that is close to home. Phil, Luke, and Haley participate in a psyche experiment, while Mitch and Cam are working on a new family portrait with Lily in it.

In an interview with TVLine, showrunner Christopher Lloyd said "It's a bit of a Friday Night Lights situation where the community thinks Cam is the second coming of football coaches, and Cam starts to crack under the pressure."

'Modern Family' airs every Wednesdays at 9 pm on ABC.
