MLB Playoffs Schedule 2014: Postseason Games List, Dates for Orioles, Giants, Cardinals, Royals
MLB fans were excited to watch all the games in the regular season, from March 22 to September 28, but now, they're ecstatic to see how the postseason develops.
The MLB Postseason Playoffs for both the American and National League will each have one wild-card game between two wild card teams.
Winners of the American League Championship Series (ALCS) and National League Championship Series (NLCS) will face each other in a best-of-seven World Series.
Major League Baseball (MLB) is a professional baseball organization made up of 4 professional sports leagues in North America.
The American League Division Series saw Kansas City Royals at the top of their game with a sweeping victory against the Los Angeles Angels recently.
The Baltimore Orioles also brought home the bacon with a 3-0 victory over the Detroit Tigers not too long ago.
The American League won the All-Star Game, therefore both the Royals and Orioles will be seen vying for the World Series.
Meanwhile, the National League saw San Fransisco Giants take the home-field against the Washington Nationals, winning 3-1.
The St. Louis Cardinals also won three over four games against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Both Cardinals and Giants advanced at the MLB NLCS playoffs.
On Oct. 10-11, fans will be seeing Game 1 and 2, as the Royals and Orioles battle it out in the ALCS. Game 3 will happen on Monday, Oct. 13 while Game 4 happens on Tuesday, Oct. 14.
On the other hand, Game 1 and 2 of the NLCS Giants versus Cardinals series will commence on Oct. 11-12 while Game 3 and 4 will be on Oct.14 and 15 respectively.
Meanwhile, additional games (games 5-7) for both matches will start on Oct. 15 for the ALCS and Oct. 16 for the NLCS.
On a side note, Game 1 of the MLB World Series will commence on Tuesday, Oct. 21 with the NL Champion and AL Champion vying for the title.
MLB World Series Games 1 to 7 will occur from Oct. 21 to 29.
