MLB Update: Mariners vs. Yankees.

Raul Ibanez is haunting the Yankees decision to let him go to the Seattle Mariners. Ibanez started Tuesday's game against C.C. Sabathia and the Yankees. Despite a home run, the Mariners lost 4-3.

Left handed pitcher Andy Pettitte will be starting against the Mariners today, May 16. Pettitte has won 11 of 12 games against the Mariners, and has 4.39 ERA. In six of the last eight games against the Mariners, Pettitte has held them to two runs or less.

Mariners manager Eric Wedge chose Hector Noesi to start against the Yankees today. Noesis (0-0, 3.86 ERA) was a last minute replacement after scheduled starter Aaron Harang is suffering lower back stiffness.
