Mistresses Season 2 premiered Monday night with even more strong scenes and feisty acting from the four female roles. ABC renewed the show for another year after garnering 4.48 million viewers and an overall rating of 1.2 in the 18 to 49 age bracket, based on Nielsen's data.

The first season ended with a number of cliffhangers including Savi's baby's death. Though this was briefly tackled in Season 2's episode Rebuild, fans are expecting that this would take a toll on her relationship with Dom. But according to TV Guide, Alyssa Milano's character will make use of the silver lining she has found from the tragic event as her vantage point.

Meanwhile, April shows a new love interest in Daniel Zamora but her entanglement with the celebrity crush is more than skin deep.

Executive producer Rina Mimoun told TV Guide, "I'm going to just say it. We felt that poor April was put through the wringer last year between her husband showing up from the dead and the ex-mistress."

In Episode 2 Boundaries, Krista Allen and Rebeka Montoya are casted as guest characters. Allen plays the role of a wealthy housewife, while Montoya is an attorney, Antonia Ruiz. The summary is read as follows:

"Joss and Harry seem to clash over everything when they're hired to throw a lavish party for a wealthy housewife (guest star Krista Allen). Savi returns to the firm and bristles at sharing an office with stunning new attorney Antonia Ruiz (guest star Rebeka Montoya), who appears to have no sense of personal boundaries. And Karen will face some ghosts from her past when she's called upon to testify at Elizabeth Grey's parole hearing."

Mistresses Season 2 Episode 2 airs on June 9, 10 PM at ABC.
