Missing Plane Search Still Ongoing, Latest News on Malaysia Airlines Flight MH 370
While the incident of the missing Malaysian airliner MH370 has caught international attention for a while now, the news surrounding it has also been met with many rumors and false allegations. As it stands. the resting place of the plane still remains a mystery with the search for passengers still going on.
After a second incident involving another Malaysian flight (MH17 which was shot down over eastern Ukraine), rumors have emerged saying the efforts toward finding MH370 have been reallocated to the more recent crash. However, Deputy Prime Minister Warren Truss responded to the rumors by telling the Australian Associated Press this week, "I want to assure the families of those on MH370 that we have not forgotten the importance of maintaining the search for that aircraft; we are continuing that search uninterrupted."
"No resources are being taken away from that search for the MH17 effort; they're different people doing a different kind of job and we remain just as committed to finding that aircraft and giving comfort to those families... Australia owes it to the families of all of those on board MH370, the traveling public and indeed the wider world to solve this mystery," he added.
Malaysia's KD Mutiara is expected to join the search this month as the third vessel, while a deep water search has been scheduled for September.
Blue Water Recoveries, a British company from west Sussex is bidding to join the search. The company was previously well known for locating the wrecks of AHS Centaur and HMAS Sydney, vessels lost during World War II. It has also worked on the search of the sea wrecks DKM Bismarck and HMS Hood.
