The Timberwolves look to end a fruitful road trip with their sixth victory in seven games while giving the Nuggets their sixth straight defeat tonight.
Kevin Martin and Nikola Pekovic both played well in their returns on Saturday, assisting Timberwolves move improve to 3-1 record so far on their five-game trip with a 108-97 win versus the Sacramento Kings.
After missing seven games due to a broken left thumb, Martin scored 26 points versus his former club. He will attempt to build on that performance while he faces Denver tonight, which he has recorded a combined 56 points against his former team in his two games this season.
"I remember getting hurt before and coming right back with good games, so this didn't surprise me," said Martin, who didn't play in 117-90 home victory against the Nuggets on Feb. 12.
The Nuggets, nevertheless, have lost four straight at home.
Denver could get Lawson back after a nine-game absence due to a left rib fracture. Lawson is averaging 18.0 per game. In addition, Lawson has averaged 22.7 points per game while making 16 of 25 from 3-point range in his last six home meetings versus the Timberwolves.
