Miley Cyrus News: Singer Joins MAC Cosmetics for Charitable Cause: Endorses Products
New reports have emerged claiming that Miley Cyrus has been named the new face of MAC Cosmetics' Viva Glam Campaign.
The "Party in the U.S.A" singer follows the footsteps of Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj and Rihanna who all have also partnered with the cosmetic line to support the charitable beauty campaign.
Miley announced the news on Twitter on Oct. 29 and expressed that make-up fanatics can anticipate the official launch of her Viva Glam lip product duo- a shimmery lip gloss and a bright pink lipstick which is set to hit stores early New Year.
"Going #VIVAGLAM with @MACcosmetics. Look for my lipstick in early 2015," the 21-year old singer tweeted along with the picture of her new product endorsement.
The new lipstick and lip gloss embodied the "Wrecking Ball" singer's sense of style, known for her obsession of over-the-top, flamboyant bright and bold colors, make-up and costume.
The hot pink lipstick will retail for $16 while the shimmery lip gloss will go for $15. Both hot pink products bear her signature of approval, as her signature is embedded on the limited edition packaging.
The product line is part of MAC's ongoing Viva Glam charity campaign that is why all profits collected from Miley's MAC line of cosmetics will be given to the MAC AIDS Fund which is a charitable organization established by MAC founders Frank Toksan and Frank Angelo back in 1994.
MAC AIDS Fund recently commemorated its tenth anniversary this year, and is committed to
helping men, women, and children living with and affected with HIV/AIDS.
MAC commissioned popular "drag queen extraordinaire" RuPaul to host their first ever campaign, and have previously worked with big names in the showbiz industry like Ricky Martin, Christina Aguilera and The Beatles legend Elton John.
The concept behind Viva Glam taking Miley Cyrus as its newest ambassador was to show the outspoken and provocative attitude of the company, which the singer clearly embodies.
"It was a connective tissue that encompassed the diversity of MAC and its mantra-all ages, all races, all sexes. It was, and continues to be, the signature and heart and soul of the company," a spokesperson for MAC wrote on their website.
