Mick Jagger Says Teaching Would Have Been More "Gratifying" Then Singing with The Rolling Stones
Mick Jagger has the life that most people would dream of. He gets to travel the world and sing in front of adoring fans in one of the biggest rock bands ever, The Rolling Stones.
Jagger recently told BBC Radio though that having a career in music hasn't been as challenging intellectually and his original path of being a teacher might have been more "gratifying".
He also shares would as a teen wanting to get into politics and journalism.
Jagger goes on to say that he is still "very pleased" with his music career and how things have turned out with the band.
It is nice though, if nothing else, to see that even for people like Mick Jagger, the grass or "unknown" can be thought of as greener on the other side. The same way that professional athletes always want to be musicians/rappers and musicians want to be professional athletes.
Regardless, it is not something you expect to hear from Mick Jagger and reflects the humanness in all of us to reflect on decisions no matter where we are in life.
The Rolling Stones are marking their 50th year together with concert dates that will also include appearances at the Glastonbury festival this weekend and a return in July to Hyde Park in central London.
