Michael Schumacher Condition News Update: Former F1 Champion May Leave Hospital Soon
Here is some good news for Michael Schumacher fans. The seven time F1 champion will be permitted to leave the hospital and go home soon, as he is recuperating well from the injury he sustained in a skiing accident last December.
The Daily Mail reported that currently Schumacher is corresponding with his family by blinking his eyes. He is currently being treated in a facility in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Since he awakened from a medically induced coma, Schumacher has been recuperating very slowly and will be allowed to go home once he recovers a touch more. However, he will continue to remain under round-the-clock medical care.
The Daily Mail quoted a report in the Swiss newspaper SonntagsBlick, which read, "There are signs that Michael will leave the clinic soon and be cared for at home."
According to reports, Schumacher's family have approached Croatian doctors Vedran Deletis and Darko Chudy, who have developed an innovative microchip-implanting technique, to help speed up the former F1 champion's recovery.
It is understood that the microchip developed by these doctors may be helpful for the German driver to talk as well as walk again. Although the Croatian doctor has admitted that contact was established with the driver, he refused to elaborate on Schumacher's present condition.
In another development, British F1 drivers Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton have sent handwritten notes to the ailing German driver wishing his quick recovery. The Daily Mirror quoted Hamilton as saying, "Dear Michael. You are always in my prayers. Prayers of hope that you pull through this difficult time." He added, "You have already achieved so much, given so much. May God watch over you and show you the way back to your family, fans and friends."
