Michael Schumacher Condition Latest Update: Wife Corinna Smiling, Sparks Good News Rumors

Close to six months after his tragic skiing accident in France, Michael Schumacher, the legendary F1 World Champion who has 7 seven world titles under his belt, is out of his coma.

The announcement of this miracle came via the family's spokesperson, Sabine Kehm, who's been Schumacer's long-time manager.

Schumacher was skiing in the French Alps on unmarked slopes when his accident occurred in December of last year. The 44-year-old legend apparently suffered severe head trauma when he fell even though he was apparently wearing a helmet.

He was immediately airlifted to a nearby hospital and was already in a coma when he arrived at the University Hospital Center in Grenoble, requiring immediate brain surgery according to the hospital officials. No official statements on the retired F1 racer's injuries were given at the time.

Initially news conflicted, saying that Schumacher's coma was medically-induced, stating that he had undergone two brain surgeries to remove blood clots which forced neurosurgeons to put him in that state.

It wasn't until the middle of June this year when Schumacher was confirmed to be out of his coma and released from the Grenoble hospital. Schumacher was sent to recover at a hospital near his home in Lausanne, Switzerland. However, no official statements or details were given on Schumacher's injuries and medical condition to this day.

Schumacher was the only F1 race car driver to win 5 consecutive titles in a row from 2000-2004. He was also the youngest Formula 1 back-to-back World Champion in 1994-1995. He announced his retirement from Ferrari in 2006, but made a remarkable comeback for the Mercedez Benz GP team before retiring again in 2012.

The Mirror reports that Michael's wife, Corinna, has recently made her first public appearance since her husband's skiing accident. Corinna was seen smiling at the riding event in Switzerland, which sparked speculation and optimism that it is perhaps indicative of what F1 fans all over the world hope for, Schumacher's significant recovery.
