The Miami Hurricanes will face the Virginia Tech Hokies on October 23 at the Lane Stadium/Worsham Field in Blacksburg, Virginia.

The Hurricanes (4-3) are looking to extend their winning streak to two games when they face their fellow ACC Coastal divisional rivals the Virginia Tech Hokies on Thursday night.

"We know they're (Virginia Tech) going to come back and play us hard," said Miami wide receiver Phillip Dorsett to reporters.

Miami crushed the Cincinnati Bearcats by a final score of 55-34, after Hurricanes QB Treon Harris converted 17 out of 24 passes for 286 yards, emphasized by three touchdown passes on October 11.

"I had no doubt going into the season that he'd have the kind of numbers he's having. Every day in the summer he'd be out there working extra. Our team is really inspired by him," said Kaaya to reporters.

"I can just leave it out there for him, like my last (79-yard) touchdown against Cincinnati. He was covered at the time and I was about to get hit and threw it. But I knew he'd be wide open by the time the ball got there."

Meanwhile, Virginia Tech (4-3) are looking to avoid a two game losing streak after their most recent loss against their fellow ACC divisional foe the Pittsburgh Panthers by 21-16 on October 16.

Virginia Tech suffered the defeat after QB Michael Brewer went 26-45 for 265 yards when he only threw one touchdown.

"I thought that we came in here and made a lot of plays, but we sure missed a lot of plays," said Virginia Tech coach Frank Beamer to reporters.

"We also had some opportunities that we didn't capitalize on, and those come back to get you."
