The Miami Heat will battle the San Antonio Spurs at the AT&T Center on Thursday night in San Antonio in the 2014 NBA Finals.

The Spurs are looking to win the NBA title for the fifth time in franchise history, after defeating the Thunder by 112-107 in Game 6 of the NBA Western Conference Championship series on May 31.
In that game, Tim Duncan had 19 points and 15 rebounds to ignite San Antonio to the NBA Finals for the sixth time in NBA history. The Spurs are attempting to win their first NBA championship since 2007, after placing into the NBA Finals two consecutive years for the first time in history.
The Spurs will be looking for payback after losing to the Heat last season in the 2013 NBA Finals in an epic Game 7.
"People keep talking like we weren't close to winning, but we were ready to win last year," said Duncan to reporters. "We're happy it's the Heat again. We've got that bad taste in our mouths still."
The Miami Heat will be seeking to win their third straight NBA championship, after knocking off the Indiana Pacers from postseason contention by 117-92 in Game 6 of the 2014 NBA Eastern Conference Finals on May 30.
Lebron James had 25 points and 6 assists to spark the Heat and push forward into the NBA Finals on Friday night. The Miami Heat is looking to obtain to their fourth title in franchise history.
"I'm blessed. Very blessed. Very humbled," said James to reporters after the game. "And we won't take this opportunity for granted. It's an unbelievable franchise, it's an unbelievable group. And we know we still have work to do, but we won't take this for granted. We're going to four straight Finals and we will never take this for granted."
