Metallica's New Movie Through The Never

Metallica, the biggest metal band of all time, showed off a short teaser trailer for their upcoming concert-narrative hybrid film, Through The Never at Comic-Con 2013, as well as debuting the posters for the movie.

Metallica Through the Never Trailer stars Dane DeHaan and of course the guys in Metallica: James Hetfield , Lars Ulrich , Kirk Hammett , Robert Trujillo. The director of the film is Nimród Antal.

The premise for the film is this, "Trip, a young roadie for Metallica, is sent on an urgent mission during the band's show. But what seems like a simple assignment turns into a surreal adventure."

The film clip, just over a minute long shows clips of the car (van) wreck, a riot and a Metallica concert. Somehow it will all blend together as one.

Through The Never is set to open up in 3-D IMAX on September 27th and theaters nationwide on October 4th.

Metallica is the most successful band's of all time, selling over 53 million records in the U.S. alone. They have been a band for over 30 years now and are still putting out new albums.

Metallica has released nine studio albums, four live albums, five extended plays, 25 music videos, and 37 singles. The band has won nine Grammy Awards, and has had five consecutive albums debut at number one on the Billboard 200, making Metallica the first band to do so.

Metallica has gone through some different line-up changes over the years. Dave Mustaine was their original guitarist but they kicked him out due to his drinking problem. He went on to start another one of heavy metal's most successful bands, Megadeth.  Metallica's original bass player, Cliff Burton died on September 27, 1986, when Metallica's bus wrecked. The bus driver claimed to have hit black ice. Bassist Jason Newsted stepped in as bass player and became a strong member of Metallica up until 2001 when he left the band to pursue other musical ventures. They eventually replaced Jason with Robert Trujillo (Suicidal Tendencies, Ozzy Osbourne) in 2002 and is still currently a member today.
