How I Met Your Mother may be wrapping up with its ninth and final season, but rumor has it show creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas, with the help of Up All Night creator Emily Spivey may be working on a HIMYM spin off.

CBS is currently working with 20^th Century Fox on a spin off series coming from the wife's perspective, according to Deadline. For now, the new show would be called How I Met Your Father.

Like the original HIMYM the show would revolve around a close-knit group of friends. The big difference? This time there would be a female Ted, searching longingly for love in a husband.

Geez, like we need a more female version of Ted Mosby. The characters wouldn't be related to the original cast, whatsoever. However, there is some speculation that the new cast would be introduced in the Season 9 finale.
