'How I Met Your Mother' Final Season to Debut in One Weekend on CBS
"How I Met Your Mother" fans are still soaking in the fact that after 8 long seasons, the Mother finally is in the picture and we know who she is!
Many of even the devoted weekly watchers were starting to get weary of season after season and episode after episode of what seemed like filler.
So the time finally came and it was a great episode.
The upcoming ninth season reveal everything you could possibly want to know about Ted's (Josh Radnor) future bride - played by Broadway star Cristin Milioti - but the entire season will also take place over the course of a single weekend!
CBS entertainment president Nina Tassler confirmed the news to HollywoodLife.com's sister site TVLine on May 15, explaining that we'll get to see "how each character, before Ted, meets the mother. ... They each meet her independently before he does."
Carter Bays spoke about the final season. "It was a pretty big umbrella to fill ... and yet Cristin is, against all odds, exactly what we were looking for," he said. "She made us laugh on 30 Rock, she made us swoon in Once and her ukulele skills are no joke."
As for the layout of season nine, he said it'll tell "the epic story of the longest wedding weekend ever."
So does this mean that the final season will all air in one weekend or that the seasons story lines and episodes will just all be over a one weekend period of screen time?
All fans of "How I Met Your Mother" are excited that the Mother was finally introduced and ready to see how this 9 season story will end.
