Hot off the success of his "Royals" by Lorde cover, Matthew West penned another song for his Kansas City heroes called "We Are the Royals."

His new "Royals" anthem celebrates the team winning the ALCS and moving on to the World Series. In addition, all proceeds for the song will go to a fan that is fighting cancer named Tim Grimes.

West recorded the song with his bandmate AJ Pruis under the name The MVP's, and it can be purchased on iTunes.

"I started thinking about how I could maybe help him out in some way," he shared in a press release, "The Royals have taken on the challenge to help motivate Tim, sharing the words 'Win for Tim,' so that got me thinking 'how could I also help to make this a win for Tim?'"

The singer debuted his version of "Royals" on Christian radio station Life 88.5 two weeks ago.

"We will always be Royals/This is more than just a game?/Royal-blue running through our veins/?KC let me hear you say, We will always be Royals"

Other words to the song address different players on the time, certain season scenarios, and praise for the coach and fans.

West continues to be one of the more well known songwriters in Christian music, and won several K-LOVE Fan Awards earlier this year.
