'MasterChef Junior' Season 4: Nate And Derek Said Farewell; Chef Elliot On His Book

In the previous episode of MasterChef Junior, Nate and Derek went home after failing to make an impressive croquembouche, an appealing dessert consisting of cream puff pastry and crystallized fruit or other confectionery items; shaped in a cone added with caramel sauce.

The winner of the last episode was Sam. He did a wonderful job on his croquembouche; considering that he had no previous interest on becoming a pastry chef. He will now reconsider it after being praised by the chef judges.

Gordon Ramsay called Ian's work "croquemess" because of it's deformities. Besides its look, Ramsay did not like its taste either.

In other news, Chef Graham Elliot will release his first ever cookbook. According to Post Gazette, the book is entitled: "Cooking Like a Master Chef: 100 Recipes to Make the Everyday Extraordinary." The book's goal is to inspire cooks with "simple, straightforward instructions and interesting twists" according to the source.

"I wanted the cookbook to be an extension of me, what I am like in the kitchen. I also wanted to keep the book in a conversational tone and have a back-and-forth with the reader," Chef Elliot said in his interview with the Gazette.

TV Guide provided us with the official synopsis of the show's next episode. It reads:

"A seven-minute team challenge involves making raspberry-mint lemonade to be judged by Christina Tosi in a blind taste test. The winners are safe from elimination, but the losing group must make a dish from the decade in which one of the judges was born."
