Marvel 'Avengers' and 'Guardians of the Galaxy' Crossover Movie: Actors as Excited as the Fans
Fans of Marvel's 'Avengers' and Marvel's ''Guardians of the Galaxy' are raving for a "crossover" movie, which as of late, has been considered by the directors of the popular and current superhero films.
Director of the 'Guardians of Galaxy' James Gunn recently spoke with Yahoo! UK, "We talked about all sorts of possibilities. I know what the basic plan is. That could or could not include a couple of Avengers and a couple of Guardians meeting up, or all of the Avengers and all of the Guardians. But we do inhabit the same universe and they're pretty big personalities that are likely to, at some point or another, run into each other," Gunn revealed.
The fans aren't the only ones looking forward to something this exciting, actor Vin Diesel, who voices Groot in 'Guardians of the Galaxy' said, "I think there's going to be huge fans of the Guardians and there are huge fans of the Avengers and I think the discussion has already been had. I think the audience may demand something like that," he told the press.
Several other actors are very open and excited about the idea that they may be teaming up with the 'Avengers' characters. It was reported that Karen Gillan who plays Nebula, Zoe Saldana, and Gamora thinks that it will be a great match.
On a sour note, some do not believe the idea is all that great, Chris Pratt said to the press that it be difficult to put all those characters together in one film,
"If you go from five characters and you add another five characters, that's ten characters. That can be very difficult. That being said, Marvel knows their stuff. Knows their business. And I see this, rather than taking the worlds that already exist and putting them together, this opens up doors into brand new worlds. We take characters we didn't even know existed in the four corners of the universe and we see their stories," Pratt said.
'Guardians of the Galaxy' is currently in theaters while 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' is scheduled to open on May 1, 2015.
