MARK SUTTON LONDON OLYMPICS JAMES BOND DIES IN TRAGIC PARACHUTING ACCIDENT

Mark Sutton, who graced the audience of the 2012 London Olympics with his parachute jump out of a helicopter as a James Bond stunt was killed Wednesday, August 14, 2013 in a wing diving accident.

The forty-two year old stuntman/skydiver was a participant in a non-competitive event in the Swiss Alps. When jumping out of a helicopter Sutton crashed into a mountain ridge new Trient, Switzerland.

There is currently an investigation as to what caused the jump to fail after Sutton had successfully attempted the jump beforehand. Wing-diving is an extreme sport where the athletes and participants where aerodynamic suits with fabric under the arms and between the legs that is supposed to act as wings and allow the athlete to glide thought the air until a parachute is needed to land on solid ground.

Gary Connery, Mark Sutton's partner released the following statement via twitter:

"All you jumpers/flyers out there, stay safe, make wise choices and know your limits and your locations live to tell your stories one love," "Mark Sutton was without doubt the best, No.1 Bond ever, style, panache, and looks to match, and he did his own."

Below is video footage of Sutton's and Connery's Olympic performance, enjoy.
