Mario Kart 8 Wii U Bundle Confirmed for Release in Europe by Nintendo; New Yoshi Themed Remote Joins Princess Peach
The Mario Kart 8 Wii U bundle was confirmed by Nintendo along with a Yoshi themed remote to go along with the new Princess Peach one.
The console bundle and controllers will be heading to Europe on May 30, Nintendo U.K. announced, reported Polygon.
The Mario Kart 8 Wii U Premium Pack will be £249.99, and include the 32 GB black model of the console with the GamePad controller, sensor bar, and a copy of the game. Another two bundles are being offered, reported Polygon. For £299.99, players will be given a GamePad cover protector, the Wii U Racing Wheel, and Mario or Luigi themed remote.
There is no word on whether these packs will be released in the U.S. yet. The bundle was rumored at the beginning of the week but Nintendo remained silent until today. "We don't have anything to announce at this time," they initially said.

The Wii Plus Peach controller is pink, with blue home buttons, yellow d-pad, and a white A button. A crown design will be over the speaker on the remote, and the overall feel matches well with what Peach wears. See a picture of the remote between the Mario and Luigi models here.
The new Yoshi themed remote will the his signature color of lime green, along with an egg emblem over the speaker. The buttons will be orange and green just like his color scheme. See the Mario, Luigi, Princess peach, ad Yoshi remotes here.
Coming later this month, the remote will retail for $39.99, and will be usable for both the Wii and Wii U. Mario Kart 8 Wii U Racing Wheel pre-orders are now available at all GameStop locations. Initially the deal was not available in the U.S., but now it has been rolled it for $9.99.
