In a recent interview, 'America Got Talent' host Nick Cannon confirms that his marriage to music legend Mariah Carey is on the rocks.

'There is trouble in paradise...," said Cannon to The Insider, "We have been living in separate houses for a few months [since May]."

According to an E! Online report, an anonymous source confirmed Carey's frustration with Cannon's recently busy work schedule.

"She is heartbroken," said the insider to E! News, "This has been going on for months. It has a lot to do with Nick's career choices. He does not have to work, but he's been throwing himself into gigs and projects."

In addition, the unnamed person further explained how Cannon ambitious business schedule (which includes hosting 'Wild N Out' and DJ appearances) has affected the couple's time together.

"She has tried and tried to get him to stay home more, but he always uses work as an excuse," said the nameless source, "When she points out that, financially, he does not need to be working as much as he does, it pisses him off and pushes him farther away. He hates when people assume he's living off her money."

Previously, Cannon addressed his divorce rumors with his 'America's Got Talent' colleague Howard Stern on the shock jock's SiriusXM radio show four months ago.

"It's amazing, man! We about to be six years on [April 30]." said Cannon to Stern in April in reference to their marriage when rumors surfaced that his wife was cheating on him with rapper Nas.

"He's a friend of mine, he's a friend of hers. She went to his birthday party and I think I was in L.A...We actually talked about this before. It'd be very difficult to make me jealous. I'm probably one of those dudes that's really secure in my relationship," he stated.

Cannon and Carey currently have two 3-year-old twins together, their daughter Monroe is named after Marilyn Monroe), while their son Moroccan got his name because Cannon proposed marriage to Carey in her Moroccan-style room many years ago.
