Margaret Thatcher's Death Causes Drunken Parties In the Streets
As news of Margaret Thatcher's death today spread, there was a wide mix of emotions hitting the people of the U.K. Some began giving tributes to Thatcher and others began drunken street parties in parts of Britain.
Many conservatives have expressed strong displeasure at the booze-fueled celebration of Thatcher's death in London, Glasgow, and other cities.
Thatcher gained the nickname the "Iron Lady" that became associated with her uncompromising politics and leadership style.
Thatcher was a British Conservative Party politician and Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1979 through 1990. She was also the Leader of the Conservative Party from 1975 to 1990. Thatcher was the longest-serving British Prime Minister of the 20th century and is the only woman to have held the office.
Some of been defending the right to criticize her policies as forcefully as ever on the day of her death, citing freedom of speech.
