The Syracuse Orange (27-5) will battle the Western Michigan Broncos (23-9) at the First Niagara Center this afternoon in Buffalo, NY.

In South Region this afternoon, the third-seeded Syracuse Orange of the ACC will face off against the 14th-seeded Western Michigan Broncos of the MAC as the 2014 NCAA Tournament continues this month.

The Syracuse Orange was the most potent squad in college basketball for the majority of the season. 

The Orange had an impressive 25-0 record earlier in the NCAA season. However, at the end of the season, the Orange played the exact opposite only winning 2 of their last 7 games.

Following the defeat in their first ever ACC Tournament to N.C. State, the Orange and their legendary head coach Jim Boeheim are out to prove Syracuse is still a threat to win the 2014 NCAA Tournament.

Western Michigan enters the game attempting to create the major upset against the perennial favorite Syracuse Orange at First Niagara Center this afternoon.

The Broncos have an overall record of 23-9 this season. In addition, the Western Michigan Broncos became the 2014 MAC champions after beating the Toledo Rockets in the championship game by the final score of 98-77.
