If Bob Arum, promoter of the Filipino professional boxer Pacquiao, is right, then HBO, which arranges Pacquiao's fights, and Showtime, which looks after Floyd Mayweather's fights, have discussed the idea of a possible fight between the two professional boxers sometime in 2015. Going a step further, Arum has predicted a match between the two later in 2015, but the fact remains as the two boxers are aging; time is definitely running out for these two champions.

Therefore, all this speculation can only be silenced by arranging the much-anticipated fight - Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather. In fact, the Filipino may possibly render many critics speechless if he becomes the boxer first to defeat Floyd Mayweather. On the other hand, Pacquiao actually doesn't stand to lose much even if he fails, as he will be the underdog.

Then again, if Mayweather retires without fighting Pacquiao, there will always be a stigma to his legacy.

In fact, it appeared that all bets were off when the Filipino professional boxer lost back to back fights to Timothy Bradley and Juan Manuel Marquez in 2012. Since then Pacquiao has just been triumphant twice, once against Brandon Rios and, second, by avenging the loss against Bradley.
