Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather Fight Rumors: Boxers Still Have Chance To Face-Off in the Ring

Even though Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr camps have been scheduling fights for their champions, and have not yet paired the two against each other, there's still chance that the a legendary bout will take place between the famous boxers.

In the past, talks between the camps have resulted in discrepancies, as they couldn't seem to find the common ground needed to pursue the fight. Whether it was a drug test or an issue of funding between the two, the fight was shut down at every turn.

As it stands, Mayweather is scheduled to fight Marcos Maidana on September 13 in Las Vegas, while Pacquiao has been recently confirmed to a fight against Chris Aligieri on November 22 in China. Some news agencies claim that the recently scheduled fights for the two boxers, Mayweather and Pacquiao are not really the fights to look forward to.

It has been said that the highly anticipated match between the super fighters would have a major impact on their individual boxing careers. Mayweather currently holds the undefeated title having a 46-0 status while Pacquiao, despite his recent loss against Juan Manuel Marquez in 2012, still gained the "Fighter of the Decade" title.

However, the two can't seem to try their luck against each other. It has been speculated that Mayweather wouldn't want to risk staining his record, as he tries to reach a 50-0 boxing record. Pacquiao might just be the one person that can break Mayweather's goal. There is also the speculation that since Pacquiao already suffered a big loss in 2012, Mayweather has lost interest in fighting the Filipino boxer.

However, Pacquiao's parties are reported to be insisting that the fight should be pursued since Pacquaio may indeed be able to beat the undefeated Mayweather which would be the greatest highlight of his boxing career.
