Manny Pacquiao vs Chris Algieri Fight Night News: Both Boxers Claim Victory, Six Round Knockout?

Manny Pacquiao, 35, and Chris Algieri, 30, are both gearing up for their upcoming welterweight match in Macau, as both stated they would be the ones claiming victory over the other.

The 5-foot-3.5 Pacquiao, was confident in that he'll be bringing down his opponent in six rounds or less on their Nov. 22 fight in Macau, while 5-foot-10 Algieri, made promises of victory himself, either by knock out or by vote, The Epoch Times reported.

The pair will be facing off in Macau in a 12-round match for the welterweight belt, a match that Pacquiao claimed was "just too long." Pacquiao was confident enough to say that he would not only win, but he would do so with a knock out. He stated that "six rounds or less will be enough."

According to Epoch Times, Pacquiao's statement was making waves as the boxer has yet to gain a stoppage victory since his 2009 match against Puerto Rican boxer, Miguel Cotto. Pacquiao brought Cotto down during the twelfth round by knock out.

However, Algieri made promises to the New York Post claiming he will be the one to beat Pacquiao.

"I've come into camp in fantastic shape," Algieri said, "It's the best shape I think I've ever started a camp. We just have to work the strategy, and I've left that up to my coaches."

When asked to send a message to his opponent, ABS-CBNnews reported that Algieri was excited to compete against Pacquiao and told him to "please don't get hurt playing basketball," following Pacquiao's decision to play with the KIA Sorento at the opening game of the Philippine Basketball Association's All-Filipino Cup games.

On side note, Pacquiao and his team won the game at 88-66.

After the game, Pacquiao resumed his training at his hometown of General Santos City, as Algieri continues to train at The Palazzo in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Algieri and Pacquiao will be facing off for the World Boxing Organization welterweight belt Nov. 22 at the Cotai Arena in Macau.
