'Manhattan Love Story' News: Series Cancelled, 'Selfie' to Fill Tuesday Night Slot

ABC has finally decided to drop the romantic comedy television series 'Manhattan Love Story', owing to its rapidly declining viewership.

The pilot episode of 'Manhattan Love Story' received a rating of 4.7 million viewers, but it declined to 2.7 million by the time the fourth episode aired.

For those that don't know, 'Manhattan Love Story is a romantic sitcom that stars Analeigh Tipton and Jake McDorman and is set in New York City. It focuses on the relationship of the couple.

According to reports, ABC will air back-to-back episodes of the latest series 'Selfie' from Nov. 4 with a view to fill the Tuesday night slot vacated by 'Manhattan Love Story'.

'Selfie', which also debuted on Sept. 30, is a freshman sitcom starring Karen Gillan and John Cho. Although this television drama was premiered alongside 'Manhattan Love Story', it received better ratings compared to the latter.

In the meantime, ABC also ordered more episodes of the existing series on the network, including 'Once Upon a Time', 'Modern Family', 'Grey's Anatomy', 'The Goldbergs', 'Black-ish', 'The Middle', and 'Resurrection'.

On a side note, E! News has reported that 'How to Get Away With Murder', the hugely popular drama on ABC, which stars Viola Davis, was picked up for a full season.
