Malaysia Airlines MH17 Victims List: Who Shot Down Plane? Families From 10 Nations Mourn (Footage Video)

It has been announced that some of victims from the recent Malaysia Airlines MH17 plane crash in Ukraine on July 17 have been identified. As a result of the tragedy, 298 people were killed from various nations including Malaysia, Australia, Britain and the Netherlands.

"The terrible news about the crash of flight MH17 over Ukrainian territory has deeply shocked me," said King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands in a statement released on July 17. "Just like the rest of the Netherlands, my wife and I follow the news to the minute and we hope to have more clarity soon."

There are reportedly 189 victims that came from the Netherlands, including 25-year-old Indiana University student Karlijn Keijzer. Keijzer was studying to get her doctorate degree in chemistry.

"On behalf of the entire Indiana University community, I want to express my deepest sympathies to Karlijn's family and friends over her tragic death," said Indiana University President Michael A. McRobbie in an announcement. "Karlijn was an outstanding student and a talented athlete, and her passing is a loss to the campus and the university. Our hearts also go out to the families of all the victims of this senseless act."

31-year-old Malaysian flight attendant Nur Shazana Mohamed Salleh was among 44 people from the Southeast Asian nation who were killed in the horrific tragedy. She worked for the company for nine years.

"We never imagined this would happen," said the victim's father Mohd Salleh, to The Malaysian Insider news site. "She went through so many interviews to finally land this job."

In addition, Mohd Salleh also revealed that one of his friend's brothers was the pilot of missing Malaysia Flight 370, Capt. Zaharie Ahmad Shah, according to the New York Daily News.

"We are not over that tragedy yet, and this happens," said Salleh.
