Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 Conspiracy Theories: Plane Location Found? Bluewater Recoveries Director Believes Crash Area Located
Plane crash expert David Mearns has said that the crash site of the Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777-200ER plane may have been found. Mearns is the director of Bluewater Recoveries, a company located in the United Kingdom that specializes in searching and finding modern and ancient shipwrecks.
"I think essentially they have found the wreckage site," said Mearns to ABC's 7.30 program recently. "While the Government hasn't announced that yet, if somebody asked me: 'Technically, do they have enough information to say that?' My answer is unequivocally 'Yes'."
It has been more than a month since Malaysia Airlines flight 370 went missing, and there have been various conspiracy theories touted surrounding how the flight disappeared and even some shockingly claim that the plane location is known and has been found.
However, for all the conspiracy theories and official denials, the fact remains that since the Malaysian Airlines Boeing 777 went missing on March 8 nobody knows for sure where the plane and its 239 passengers went and what happened.
Austrailian Prime Minister Tony Abbott stated on April 11 that the search area for the missing plane has been lessened, and the search teams have been able to focus in on a more specific region, although that region is still enormous by all accounts.
Mearns' impressive resume speaks for itself: he received an Order of Australia award for his work. In addition, Mearns discovered the HMAS Sydney ship in the Indian Ocean back in 2008.
The HMAS Sydney along with its 640 sailors sank during World War II in the year of 1941. Furthermore, he also helped in the discovery of Air France flight 447 after the plane crashed on June 1, 2009.
"Obviously for the sake of the families and for everybody else they will want photographic proof and that will be coming shortly," said Mearns to ABC's 7.30 program in Australia. "Somewhere out of some place, fantastic pieces of intelligence were put together to really narrow it down to a small, small area... And that's how these guys have been able to find it so quickly. The Ocean Shield was out there a couple of days and they got a hit. That has been a tremendous success and miraculous. People were searching for a miracle. This was one."
