Rumors have emerged about Jennifer Lopez's romantic link to former 'Dancing With the Stars' pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy, however they seem to be unfounded. Lopez herself continuously denies dating Chmerkovskiy and insists on remaining single after her split with Casper Smart.

Just like J.Lo, Chmerkovskiy remains pretty much silent about his love life even after the fans speculated that he is dating Meryl Davis.

In a recent interview with Lopez she gave insight into her plans in terms of romance in the near future.

"I'm just enjoying being on my own," Jennifer Lopez said during 'The Meredith Viera Show' interview, "I feel like I need that right now. I've been in relationships kind of back-to-back my whole life and I just needed time.

She went on to say, "I need time to just chill and just know me and enjoy my kids and actually making time for other friends instead of just the relationship thing. All of a sudden all of the relationships in your life and everything starts working when you take care of yourself."

Stepping back to Chmerkovskiy, Meryl Davis had some interesting things to say about him,

In May, Davis revealed how she feels about her former dance floor partner, "I feel that I can really be myself with Maks," Meryl Davis said, "He pushes me to stand up for myself, whether it's in real life or on the dance floor. It's cool."

The two have been close even after the show, but Chmerkovskiy has always insisted their relationship was a simple "showmance."

"I am very close with a few of my past partners because they have played a huge role in a big part of my life," Maks Chmerkovskiy said of his DWTS relationship with Meryl Davis, "Three months is a long time, and if I am going to give someone that much of my time, I am going to develop a relationship with that person."
